Gathering Drum nuts and bolts

  • Has anyone replaced the nuts and bolts on the inside of the gathering drum handles with something else that lies flat? When we turn the drum over to use as a boat, the screw/bolt heads protrude and can poke the kids while they lie or sit in the drum. I don't want to make any modifications on my own and worried I might compromise the handles. Thought I would check to see what others have done first.

Lynn Kleiner Are yours rounded and smooth? If not, I will have them replaced for you! I have never had a problem with my little sailors in the boat but mine, though they stick out, are smooth, rounded and not a problem. Let me know if they are not rounded.

Lynn Kleiner I will check with Remo, mine are rounded enough that they have not been a problem but we'll see if we can improve this!
