I am in need of a cute musical program to do in February with my kindergartners. Has anyone done anything using a book? How do you do it? Do you have a video? I just can't imagine how to do it.

A space theme is what I was thinking. We do a steady beat activity to the song "Imperial March" from Star Wars. We use pool noodle swords to keep the beat. We also do a parachute routine to the Star Wars theme.

The details are in Downloads and I also have it in a script version. I can't seem to locate a video but I don't think you'd have a hard time understanding how this is done. Everyone loves it. Its really adorable if your principal or classroom teacher is the one who plays the part of the Mama. I will add this additional script version to downloads, that may be helpful if you want to do this as a little, easy play. Its perfect for Kindergarten.
Your space theme sounds fun but I do not have a story that comes to mind right now. less

There is a story by Phil and Susie Splitter called Rocket Sam that would be cute for movement, creating silly space sounds. Susie Davies-Splitter is a music box member so if you are interested, you can message her in Music Box (just click members and search for her name). She can let you know where its available for you. There is a CD that accompanies the story. I have the big book which is very cute and it even has a little doll, Rocket Sam. Hope this helps.
