Gathering Drum nuts and bolts

    Has anyone replaced the nuts and bolts on the inside of the gathering drum handles with something else that lies flat? When we turn the drum over to use as a boat, the screw/bolt heads protrude and can poke the kids while they lie or sit in the drum. I don't want to make any modifications on my own and worried I might compromise the handles. Thought I would check to see what others have done first.

    Lynn Kleiner Are yours rounded and smooth? If not, I will have them replaced for you! I have never had a problem with my little sailors in the boat but mine, though they stick out, are smooth, rounded and not a problem. Let me know if they are not rounded.
